Meeting Announced & Town Moves On Water Solutions
September 24, 2007
Good news as Town works to solve drainage dilemas. Darien has accepted bid from contractor to repair the dam at Gorham’s Pond (read Sept. 1st Article). More good news in last week’s Darien Times… Town is looking at Baker Field as possible flood control site. (read Sept. 20th Article). If you haven’t been to Town Hall lately a drive by is suggested… the sediment removed from the Town Hall pond has been cleared and disposed of. The Board of Education parking lot … AND Stony Brook are now clear.
Flooded Darien residents are meeting at the library conference room on October 4th at 7pm. If we nap on the water issues in Darien we may awake all wet! The past months have showed that the Town can find creative solutions to lingering problems (like buying the gates and ladder to get a better bid on the Gorham’s Pond project). Come learn about the water issues and stay involved in making a difference.
