Week to Address Darien Environmental Issues

Monday Night - Oct. 1st. beginning at 5:30 pm Board of Selectmen Meeting at Town Hall. Bob Steeger is to present the Baker Field flood control plan later at meeting.

Wednesday Night - Oct. 3rd. EPC at 7:30 pm (Environmental Protection Commission) Meeting at Town Hall. On the agenda.. a house tear down and rebuild project on Stony Brook is scheduled for review. This may be the first project on Stony Brook to come up before the EPC since taking on the responsibility of the Flood & Erosion Control Board. This meeting may be of interest to folks upstream and downstream from Renshaw Rd. Also on the agenda… the issues surrounding the removal of trees on Stony Brook wetlands at one of Darien’s country clubs.

Thursday Night - Oct. 4th at 7pm. Flooded residents are meeting in the conference room at the Darien Library.

Lots scheduled for the week… but as they say “when it rains it pours.”
